Love
Write One word – that describes your experience with ‘Love’ right now.
One word.
It could be ‘Loved’, ‘Cherished’, ‘Heartbroken’, ‘Deceived’, ‘Elated’, ‘Engaged’, ‘Content’….. Maybe even ‘Ambivalent’…
Weird and wonderful words are encouraged.
Then, if you want to;
Explain why you are feeling that emotion.
OR
Write a post about your experience with love and ping back to this post, so others can find you and share your experience.
OR
Share the link to one of your recent posts if it relates to your current experience with love, perhaps even how you are feeling in the lead up to Valentines Day.
OR all or none of the above 🙂
Have fun!
These single words will be used to create a community word graphic.
This is a Community Create Activity, second in the One Word Wonder series.

Bathetic. Where did my post about bathetic go?
I am so confused!
LOL! It seems my OCD’ness is causing you some confusion! I pay sympathy gestures in (Cyber) Barramundi (North Australian Fish), and offer you two, scales and all.
hey come cooked or uncooked, depending on whether or not you have a preference to cyber slap people with them for writing stupid things – in which case I recommend un-cooked.
I’ve a feeling I could first on your list of people to slap with a fish.. LOL
Anyway, THIS is where your bathetic would usually go – the other page was a directive to bring you here…

The 1st word that came to my mind is “UNREST”.
By unrest, I don’t mean to imply disturbance. In love there is pleasure and pain. There’s happiness and sadness. There is peace but no rest…
A mixture of emotions and that’s the beauty of it… 🙂
That is such a spot on word for love in my opinion.. You are absolutely right – either way there is no rest.. lol
Sorry I missed this one, thanks for contributing 🙂

I regret not seeing this post one hour ago. I just wrote and published a post on my blog, “Bleeding My Emotions” on “How Long Does Love Last?”
Feel free to place a link in the comments section here. When I complete the graphic I will link it up in the post 🙂
Thanks for the follow! The word that came to mind for love is indispensible. Great blog site and an excellent, inviting post. 🙂
So true!! So sorry I missed this one! Indispensable is a terrific word, because like it or not, I really do not think that any of us can live a life without it (on some level).

possibly a bit late but, “Optimistic” because always thinking ahead and keeping your thoughts forward and positive then we all have a reason to be optimistic about love
Hi Dave, #Optimistic is a really good word when considering Love. Since I think our relationships should all have us conducting ourselves in a way where we choose to act with love (kindness, consideration, compassion) I’m happy to add that to the graphic when I get it sorted!

Sick actually… (My latest post) everyone is I’ll in our house, except me, I’m looking after them all..
Ah, we’ve been sick too over here but now at the end of it hopefully. I’ll have a read of the new post now
Fingers crossed everyone gets better very soon, and big big hug Lou!
Thank you *huggles*

Thanks Victoria, I’m sorry for the delay in response, I do try to respond to every comment and have no idea how I missed this one! #Amazing has been added and I will be sure to include your participating in the graphic post when it is completed – hopefully some time over the next few days.. pending an improvement in the viruses running riot in my house!…

Steadfast. 17 years of marriage, 3 kids, oppressive mortgage… 🙂
#Perfection – Love it 🙂
Great contribution… I should have enough to put the graphic together now 🙂
ML ♥
🙂 I probably should have been more romantic, but steadfast weathers the storms and brings you to port every time.
Steadfast is an awesome word when it comes to love… Screams agape – the awesome non fickle kind of love…
Yes, the long-lasting persevering kind.
*Nods*
The kind of love I think we all strive for… And long for….
Aw. If you love that way, you will find your way to it.
Hiya! 😀
I am starting my own mini challenge for my birthday (14th), I want to do something special this year since I haven’t celebrated my birthdays a few years… I would be very happy if you would join, it will run for probably 7 days and then 7 days me praising some of you who did the best in a daily challenges, pingbacks and all. 😀 I promise it will be fun. Please do join, or else this can become really sad very quickly hahahaha
Everyone is welcome to join! 🙂 Here is the link to my blog: http://ivymosquito.wordpress.com/
Lost – because at different times in my life I’ve been lost without it or lost inside it.
Lost is a great word. I relate to your description too.

preach it, sister. 🙂
I have two words for love: HARD – for when we love someone even though that person clearly doesn’t deserve it with the way they are treating us.
And INDESCRIBABLE – when everything just falls into place and you don’t know how to desribe what your are feeling because it is so simple and profoundly deep at the same time… 😉
Where are you btw? Girl, I miss your jokes and irony flow trough comments.. 😀
Loved via friendship 🙂 such as yourself Lou 🙂 it’s been difficult to feel not completely alone as I have been but friends such as you help immeasurably 🙂 xxx
I’m a little late to the party here (your posts weren’t showing up in my reader for some reason), but I guess when I think of Love and the way it is for my spouse and I after 22 years of marriage (and, well 29 years together), the word that pops up is “Comfort.” Doesn’t sound terribly romantic, but the fact is that we are always there for each other to soften the blows of life, we comfort each other (he more than me sometimes – me being the more needy of the two of us!)
Settled.
#Settled – Love this one Marie. I also note I did not respond to the comment – Apologies, I do try to get to every one relatively quickly… ‘

Myself. I have realized that I really love (and like) myself and it is a wonderful feeling. http://daywhatever.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/que-sera-sera/
Thank you for dropping by and leaving your word and your link. I am very sorry for the hard time you are experiencing, BUT also commend you and offer up my support for your decision to focus on loving yourself right now (So important – as we often treat ourselves so badly – especially when things in love don’t quite work out as we would have hoped)

Confused. I have never been in a romantic relationship before and have always wondered what it is like.
#Confused – GREAT WORD – Thanks so much for sharing both that and your personal experience. There are many types of love, and this particular post referred to the many kinds, including the love that we have with our friends, family and significant others!
I wouldn’t worry too much about not yet having been in a romantic relationship yet. we all are unique and things happen at different times for different people for a whole range of reasons!
I think one of the most important loves that we have is actually for ourselves, being the best we can be and being kind to ourselves. Often the negative self talk we say to ourselves can really have a damage to our self esteem!
Be kind to yourself – and remember re romance – there is no hurry!

ML,
I saw the graphic. Great that most people said hopeful. Not because I also said hopeful. Despite all the horrible and negative stories we see on the news and read in the newspaper, we are still hopeful. That is a great thing.
Keep them coming. Looking forward to the next one already. *greedy eyes*
Think that you all will be surprised when you hear what I am talking about. Or perhaps not. Have to watch the movie that you are suggesting, before I can see if you got it or not.
Talk to you soon.

Verb – action word. It’s patient, kind, forgiving of wrongs, faithful, doesn’t give up when the going gets tough.
I’ve learnt that passion, or being in love, is not the same as love. I’ve also learnt that our English word for love is very vague. If we look into the meaning of ‘Love’ in the greek there are six different types.
Eros- sexual passion
Philia- deep friendship/brotherly
Ludus- playful, like in young children or friends laughing together
Agape- love for everyone and unconditional
Pragma- long standing love like in married couples that have been together for years.
Philautia- self love and even narcissism.
Great idea ML
=)
Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment Staci. If it is okay with you, I will use the word #Verb as well as each of the subsequent 6 types of love you have outlined for us!
Would you mind if I referred to those during the Collation post which provides the graphic resulting from all of the suggestions?

Glad to be following you Miss Lou. You are a ray of sunshine. 😀
#Monumental – Fantastic Word, thanks for taking the time to drop through and leave your thoughts.

Unexpected.
Not that I found unexpected love it’s that even in the most unexpected circumstances I feel even more love towards my husband. For instance right now I am struggling with depression and low self worth. It has been a rocky road and I know I have been difficult. But amongst all that my husband had been a rock for me to hold on to. He has stuck with me and I feel so close to him through all this. I find that my love for him is growing stronger even though I feel like I’m drowning in other parts of my life. It’s weird and unexpected.
#Unexpected – Great word, and one of my favorites when it comes to describing our experiences in love. It sounds like your husband has been a rock for you Momma 🙂 Truly a blessing. Thank you for sharing!

Awwwwe, they’re kissing! What a great post Lou. 🙂 My word is: commitment. I’d never had commitment of love when I was younger, so now when I feel that from my husband, it means SO much. ❤
#Commitment – Love that word… #Beautiful. Thanks for your contribution Laura!
They are kissing.. isn’t it adorable?! lol
My experience is kind of in the reverse to yours.. My first boyfriend I was with from 13 – 20/21. A long time. We went through so much together including the passing of my mother and a range of other very challenging circumstances.
He really was my rock.
I started to branch out though, and being so young, was confident there had to be more to life….
I then met a man when I was 28, who I loved more than I could have ever imagined loving any man… Someone else got involved in that experience and it became extremely painful – for everyone involved I have no doubt.. I had to distance myself and concentrate on healing myself and I prioritized my relationship with Jesus.
I cried for about a year on and off, though that is the way of it, sometimes, great love can also provide great pain.
Thanks so much for taking the time to contribute

Awwwweee…..I know how that feels ML. In the 90’s when I was in my 30’s I met a man like that…a deep love connection. Then he burned me so badly I didn’t date for almost two years. I refocused my life and then right before 9/11 I met my current husband. Prioritizing your life with Jesus is key. I’m doing that now. In fact, I have to run because I have my bible study class @ church this morning! 🙂
Have a great day ML.

Rewarding
#Rewarding – So true! – Thanks Dan 🙂 Great to see you BTW!

Good to be here. Sometimes I find it hard to find one word. This is an overall average, but well into the range.
You can have two or three if you like.. lol….
As someone who is ridiculously longwinded I KNOW how hard it is to use only one word, so in ways, I ask for the single word to summarise and them provide some avenues to elaborate and share experiences.
I have read through many of your and faiths posts and the most obvious theme running through the is the closeness of the members of your family. I know how hard that can be to achieve and it is very much something to be valued.
Feel free to Ping this post or place a link in here for a post of your own that you feel expresses #Rewarding (I can pick out several.. even putting in the posts each of you did on your coffee table projects – #Awesomeness)
Thanks Dan

I think the post that best describes the rewarding nature of love is the one I wrote for Christmas – http://nofacilities.com/2013/12/16/your-move-sitamy-special-christmas/ – For me, that’s a reminder of the fact that love requires work and sacrifice but it returns something special. That’s why ‘rewarding’ is an average.
I agree and understand more now, when you say ‘rewarding’ is an average,
The post is beautiful. Your grandmother was an amazing woman – and you were pretty remarkable yourself, for a young boy at that age.
Thank you for taking the time to share it with me.

I didn’t have a choice, but in retrospect, it was a wonderful experience for me. At the time, there were plenty of days when I wanted to do something else but it gave me a chance to learn things about her that very few people knew.
*nods* I understand!
One of those times, on reflection, you were grateful for unanswered prayers?
We just never know what we are going to learn while doing stuff we just don’t feel like doing (especially when we are kids)… lol

lol…. Oh my goodness! It really reads like it was an amazing experience for you… The most beautiful part of the entire story is the fear that you felt, only to feel it fade away and have such a great outcome.
