What about me?

Introducing me!

Lou Lou collage

Hi… My name is Lou…

I’m fond of things that move me.  Like french fries dipped in chocolate Sundae’s & Greys Anatomy episodes.

I really like shoes and I have lots of them!

I also have stuff, and sometimes write about that too.

Thanks for dropping by, please Click here to tell me about you!

    • Lol… Sorry about that!! I’ve had my bloggie for a while now, though recently not so active and usually I have bursts of activity depending on how much my life will allow! Thankfully I have wonderful blogging buddies who are forgiving and still say G’day when I drop by and read their posts:)

      • Don’t ever apologize for having a successful blog! I was just laughing at myself because im on a surface tablet so I was trying to scroll by touching the screen and then I was like oh forget it and used the scrollbar duhhhhhh! I’m a nut no apologies from either lol

  1. Hi Lou,

Thanks for following LUMINNEJ all these while. Just to update you that we have moved to a new platform. Do surf over to our new home at http://luminnej.blogspot.com/ for more of the same luminously beautiful stories. See you there! Hope you would follow us from there too *_^

    With love,
    Jeann from LUMINNEJ

  2. I am so not a shoe person (probably as well; I’ve got big ole feet, and there aren’t many cute shoes that are up to the job!).

My daughter, on the other hand, has loved shoes since months before she could walk!

    • #YayShoes – lol

Thanks for your kind words! I just got back from viewing your gorgeous pictures of Vancouver Island – Thanks so much for sharing!

      • Thanks for visiting! You know, those are just random iPhone shots. The place is so pretty you just can’t take a bad picture 🙂

      • Sounds like the NT (where I live)

The only time more than one shot needs taking is when it is of me (if I want a good one I have to take about 200)

      • Hahaha…yep, I agree, I think most of the time the pictures are far better if I’m not in them, but in the end, vacation pictures with people make the best souvenirs 🙂

  3. Hi Lou
Thank you for following my blog…..I will be back to read more of what you have to share! It’s great to meet you…. 🙂

I also just came across your poem relating to writing – and it reminded me of the value in personally handwriting our notes, letters and writings generally.

A skill we don’t want to loose!

      • lol my thoughts exactly…

Moving to another time… Legend of Zelda became a favorite and then after that.. Theme Hospital and Theme Park by bullfrog… best games ever made!~

      • I know of them, but missed playing them all. My tertiary study years occupied me considerably. Somewhere I made time for Populous and Magic Carpet on the PC, some other awesome bullfrog games!

  19. Your blog is very fun and you seem like such an enjoyable person! 🙂 It is such a joy to know there are people with at positive attitude like you in the world.

    • Sorry for the 13 hour delay in response!

Thanks for your kind words. I’m generally fairly positive – does no good to anyone not looking for the best outcome, BUT I do have my down days too!

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment 🙂

  24. You like French fries dipped in chocolate sundaes? Me too! That’s too crazy 🙂 LOL I also like to eat mashed potato with gravy and coleslaw together 😮

    • I most certainly do Lyn.. and and I LOVE mashed potato and gravy with coleslaw – and then for good measure, I’d smother it in Tomato Sauce!!

      *nomnomnomnoms*

  25. Just wanted to say, I also love Grey’s Anatomy. This whole Christina Yang leaving thing is killing me. I find French Fries dipped in a strawberry milkshake are also quite moving. And I love your eyebrows. That’s all.

    • *wiggled eyebrows* Thank you!!!

LOL. I ‘m also feeling rather unhappy about Christina going. She just can’t, she’s Meredith’s person. *wails*

I’ve never tried fries in a shake, I”ll have to give that a go…

    • Be careful about the diving bit, there’s a few rocks around here (I.e picture of my long alien toes and of me eating garden worms), you could be subjected to the occasional concussion or bout of vomiting, eh!

Thanks for visiting and dropping a line in the comments section 🙂 Much appreciated.

  26. Your blog is great — it’s so full of creative energy and just plain fun! I’m on a virtual quest to discover and comment on a positive blog every day of 2014, maintaining a list on my own blog as a resource, and yours is definitely a keeper. 🙂

  27. Hi Miss Lou,

  29. Thanks for stopping by to visit OG Lighthouse Journal and taking the time to share your opinion and engage in discussion. I also took the time to take a peek at this blog, which I find delightful and fun – an escape of the realities of life in general. Since I have three blogs (tried giving away to the right person Lighthouse Journal), my time is limited. Two other blogs: Old Glory Gunsmith Shoppe and Veritas et Theologium, in case you are interested. Have fun, Miss Lou.

    • G’day Keith, welcome to my little part of the blogosphere 🙂 Thanks for taking the time also to respond to my comments as well as visit. I do a range of posts, some serious, mostly not, though when I do find the time to get in here, I enjoy the interaction.

  34. As a new Spikey Miss Lou, you’ve joined a growing clan of folk known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

My aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures since the 70′s, as well as day to day happenings on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations on life as I see it. Of course, if you have any suggestions for me, I’d love to hear from you, serious; email me.

In return, I promise not to be overbearing with perhaps 2-3 posts a day tops. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again for your vote of confidence, hope you have a great day…

  36. Hello!
Thank you for following my blog. I know how many interesting blogs are out there and feel honored that you picked mine to follow. I hope my stories entertain and inform and my photos bring you joy and wonderment.
I travel mostly local but try to always find interesting places. I have lived in several different places and dig through my archives of photos to bring glimpses into places I have been. Sometimes I post a recipe because food tells a lot about culture.
I am not a professional photographer, so my photos are sometimes a little fuzzy and there are telephone poles and wires and other things along with what I was photographing. The older photos are 35mm, the newer are point and shoot digital and a few are Samsung Smartphone.
I am new to blogging so if you have any advice or critique please drop me a comment.
Thank you again for following and to quote Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

    • G’day Iris, thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time to comment – I really appreciate it!

Welcome also to the wonderful world of blogging, it’s wonderful to meet you and have you leaving such great comments 🙂

I’m not sure that I am the best person to provide blogger advice to, because I am often absent from my own blog for weeks at a time – life keeps stealing me away!

BUT.. when I do manage to get in here and read the most valuable advice I can provide when it comes to creating a community is; read blogs and comment, interact, have conversations with people. Whenever someone comments on your blogs, always respond – even if it just a smiley face 🙂

Look forward to reading more from you and having lots more conversations 🙂

I’ve just had the fortune of being awarded the Very Inspiring Blogger award and as part of the protocol I’ve awarded 15 other blogs as well, yours being one of them.

Obviously I don’t know what your stance on blog awards is, but it’s your choice as to whether you’d like to accept it or not and I only mean to say thank you for putting together such a great blog that interests. inspires, and entertains.

Full details can be found in my post here: http://polaris975.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/very-inspiring-blogger-award-thank-you/

  44. Thank you so much for the follow on my blog! What a blessing. Took a few minutes to glance over yours and I look forward to coming back and reading more and getting to know you! I am now following your blog,

  45. Your blog site is really nifty. I think you are very brave and energetic to ask people to tell about THEMSELVES as we all love doing that, yes? I am thinking with your inquisitive nature you may not ever sleep:) I look forward to stalking (I mean reading) your blog:)

      • You’re very welcome. Your blog is very interesting. I especially like the whole “community create” idea. Actually, could you explain that a little bit more for me?
Thanks a ton ML. Looking forward to reading future posts.
        =)

      • ‘Community Create’ is really something new I started doing when I was trying to figure out ways to feed my nosey nature and feed my desire for personal connections. 🙂

I like to learn about people, their life experiences and how they overcome adversity.

The short explanation is here: https://misslouella.wordpress.com/community-create/

The first activity (One Word Wonder) we collaborated on is here:

        Team Create; Gallery #1 Emotion

and the general explanation for One Word Wonder is here:

        One Word Wonder

It will be something that evolves (or not) I can be lazy and disappear for weeks at a time when life interrupts.

        🙂

  46. Hi Miss Lou, thanks for visiting and following my blog. I have rather unhealthy obsession with shoes. I literally have a box o’ shoes under my desk at work. I think I might need therapy. 🙂

Stick at it, (the blogging thing) its a great way to share stuff with a community, find like minded people, and be introduced to new perceptions & ideas too! (nothing like a good challenge eh)

    • *snorks*… LMAO.. Hardy Ha!
      Love the award!! Thank you!
I’m too slack to actually do any of the stuff involved so will accept it, but then run off with it and never be seen again! ( I’m trying to accumulate as many as I can in this manner, so then they become rare and people have to start paying me for them)

I feel like such an idiot doing this.. but.. here goes:

      Lore (lɔː)
      n
      1. collective knowledge or wisdom on a particular subject, esp of a traditional nature
      2. knowledge or learning
      3. teaching, or something that is taught

*steals Orange Juice and Croissant from your fridge and races off*

      • I just want to make sure I’m clear on this. You gave me the definition of “Lore” to throw me off completely and have me look out the window in a far off manner trying to figure out if I posted something asking for the definition of “Lore” while you stole the croissants and OJ from my fridge?

Joke’s on you.. I keep the croissants in the microwave.
        8-P

      • *dejected slump in the corner*

*Back washes into OJ by ACCIDENT and puts it back in the fridge*

*grabs the entire Microwave and races off*

        *Yells out while racing away*….

Miss Lou Aquiring Lore (intended typo?)

*Gobbles half of croissant, drops microwave on big toe, collapses in heap and bursts into tears*

      • That wasn’t orange juice…. but you’re still up 2 croissants so still winning despite the injury. That’s also not a real microwave.
I was referring to the “aquiring” in the acquiring 😉

      • *Chomps on Croissant* (please don’t tell me they are poisoned!!) lol

Not an intentional typo at all! NEVER noticed it before now… and it’s been such a LONG time.

*ponders whether or not to make the change*

      • I’m feeling like I have been riding on the short bus for almost a year!

I looked and then did a double take then thought to myself…. ‘No… there is no way I could have done that, surely the spelling powers of the world changed it BECAUSE the ONLY way I could have done that was if I researched and found it to be so’

So.. Off I went to google the typo and this is what I found:

        http://www.dumbtionary.com/word/aquiring.shtml

        Oh. My. Goodness

        OCD #OffTheCharts

      • Yeaaahhhh……

        No… lol

I had to change it, I was starting to have an anxiety attack.

I might write a post now, admitting my short bus Dumbtionary error and dishing out trout slaps to my loyal followers for being terrible editors!! How dare they come in here and not point out my typos! *snorks*

      • I will now admit something to you that I am grossly ashamed of, and it took one of my followers to point it out to me.

*hanging head in shame already… taking a deep breath*
I, tourmama E, bone fide, self-proclaimed, real-life Star Wars nerd and expert, spelled Skywalker incorrectly due to a typo. It was up there for quite sometime and I was called out on it publicly, although in fairness, she said I could delete the comment to save face. I left the comment up there and spared her life to prove that even a grammar and spelling nazi such as myself, can have an off day.

I will extend the courtesy to you though..you can delete my comment if you want 🙂

        Or punish your followers…
        Yeah. Do that one.

      • lol… Yes, I think I will just blame my followers and beat them all with trout!!

        *snorks*

I might change it back to spelling it the wrong way, just so I can get screenshots.. lol

    • You’re so welcome! I see you are getting prepared to take your own version of a gap yah! lol Look forward to reading about the lead up and the following adventures.. 🙂

  49. Lou, Thanks for following my blog of book reviews. Hope you find something that will interest you. Started reading novel and short stories that are little lighter than my recent reads: commentary on relationships and men bashing in a comedic way.

    • G’day Mr Brooks, I Tag searched for the word ‘Books’ last night to find some support to put together a reading list for this year! I think I followed about 30 of you, who all had some great promise in terms of providing some fairly awesome suggestions!

Problem is, when I click your name it takes me to a very well developed Insurance and Law Business blog…. Could you please provide me with the link to access your book review blog 🙂 (just so I don’t have to go each one by one at this point in time.)

    • You’re welcome Su. A couple of years ago I did a genogram on my family and have planned to look through my history a little more though I have not got around to it and sometimes feel a little bit sad that looking into my history in more detail is not priority enough for me to get motivated.

The genogram process was quite depressing as it was looking specifically at the negative qualities within relationships and how they are passed down from generation to generation.

  52. Your “About” page tells a lot about you and your passions.

    • You are very welcome, just the reminder of articulating our goals was enough to the follow on my end.. lol

Lovely to meet you and I wish you the best with your novel this year 🙂

    • You sound like and interesting young lady. I like to be as diversified as possible in knowledge about life and other peoples views of life. I am not a person that thinks I know it all about everything, I don’t know everything about anything. I clicked to follow your blog, maybe you can expand my scope of understanding on issues that I may have a too narrow a focus on now. I hope you have a good week, stay safe, God bless.

  56. Thank you for the follow, not just because it’s exciting know I have a new follower but because I wouldn’t have found your blog without it. It’s amazing! I’m going to make some tea and settle down for a good old read. *potters off to the kitchen*

    • SASS, oh my goodness! I am so sorry I missed this *scratches my head* I have no idea how I let this one get passed me, though thankyou thankyou thankyou!!

  57. Hello Lou,

You’re funny. I think the description ‘I love to laugh’ fits you perfectly well, as your posts make others laugh too. I saw a post in your blog that shows Australian flag, but then as I was looking at another post of yours, I couldn’t find it. I was intrigued, as it might have something to do with Australia – oh, how hard it is to find other Australian bloggers.

By the way, I thank you for following my blog: subhanzein.wordpress.com I hope you benefit from what I post there every Saturday.

Thank you again, blessings and love to you ♥

    • Hi Dorothy Thanks for dropping by. I lived just out of Sydney for a couple of years – in the Singleton Area. Really really enjoyed it, The vineyards and gorgeous countryside are #Stunning.

The pictures you had up on your blog of you and Bear were gorgeous, your comment just provided me with the reminder to go back and take a look 🙂 Thank you 🙂

      Lovely to meet you,

    • Thank you so much Rupesh. I am very grateful that you think my blog/posts/interaction is worthy of an award.

I do find it difficult to find the time to keep up with the requirements of them. I don’t post that often (self confessed blogging slacker)

At this point I’m not following through on the requirements of awards and so feel it is best not to accept, but thank you. I really appreciate the time that you spend interacting with me – both in your own posts and here on mine… 🙂

      Thank you very much 🙂

    • That’s very kind, Thanks for dropping by 🙂

I love to read and your posts captured my attention after I noted the great review you wrote on the painted table.

Granted I do not get to do it quite as often as I like, and with often tired eyes, I have even resorted to getting some of my books in Audio through Audible 🙂

      Lovely to meet you 🙂

    • You’re very welcome – you have some gorgeous pictures of India – along with a wealth of information about the country itself.

Thanks for dropping by, much appreciated.

    • Thank you so much Shaun. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you think my blog/posts/interaction is worthy of any kind of award. With that being said, I have to respectfully decline.

I am so grateful to be nominated for awards, though I find it difficult to find the time to keep up with the requirements of acceptance of them. I usually post less than once a month, and might get to visit my blogosphere less than once a week. (self confessed blogging slacker)

I hope not to offend you, and please accept my sincerest apologies if I have, with my declining of your gracious nomination, again, thank you,

The most valued thing you provide to me is taking the time to read and acknowledge my comments on your posts 🙂 I really value that, so thank you 🙂

      • Sometimes people don’t accept, that is not the end the World 😀 Totally cool. I send them and the thought is what counts, so I thought about your blog. That will do..

No offence taken, this is ONLY the Internet

        x

    • I’m a slack blogger – once every month maybe.. and I need to fix my comment font and .. (theres sooooo much to do)…. lol

I’m lazy and will probably never get there!

I came across your blog a little while ago and then lost it (now I make a habbit of following if I see anything I’m interested in)

I follow Vees blog and I am fairly sure that is how I found you before…

This time when I found you, I followed with the intent to go back (as I do so often and never get there) But you beat me to it.

      This post: http://dawritechick.wordpress.com/2013/11/17/trapped-in-misery/

REALLY Strikes home for me. I found myself almost crying reading it, and I thank you for sharing it with the world .

    • Hi Swave!! (trendy eh) lol.. Thanks so much for dropping by , and you’re welcome!

I was drawn to your blog when I saw the work you had done in speech correction 🙂 /s/ 😀

My son had some difficulty with speech, though has made significant in roads and actually just got his 1st year report card back with sound results in speech and language (YAY)….

What was awesomely pleasing is the Straight A/Excellent results he got in anything to do with Maths and Statistics. Physicist?? lol

  58. Miss Lou,

Thanks so much for the blog follow. It has led me to your entertaining blog, which I am now following.

I look forward to reading more of your wonderful posts.

    Happy blogging!

    • Thank you for dropping by. I found your posts really uplifting and generally positive in nature – nice change 🙂

Hope to see you again, often and lots.

    • You’re welcome Bex 🙂

I’ve enjoyed your blog about generational roles and got through until your blog on 30 days creating new habits.

I heard of one through Dr Leaf that says it takes 21 days of consistently doing something to learn the habit, or unlearn it.

I’ve been so slack on the gym lately, I was considering taking up the challenge!! lol

      Thanks for dropping by!

      Miss Lou
      xx

      • Thanks for that, very kind of you 🙂

Yes, 30 days of change seems achievable, but I suppose it is the initial motivation and then continued dedication that stumps most people! Perhaps 21 days would be more preferable!

I have been lax too, very lax. I just begun dancing again after about nearly 2 months hiatus, I just felt unmotivated. I think anything can eventually become a chore. It’s definitely human nature to slack off sometimes.

Wish you luck if you do go ahead with the challenge though, and let me know how you get on. I could do with some inspiration!

        My pleasure!

        Bex xx

  59. Chocolate dipped fries, hmmmm that’s something I should try sometime, I do keep having these long conversations about anything and everything with all the people around me and even with myself when I am alone so I get that part as well and all the other stuff you talked about, but what I just don’t understand at all is the fascination with shoes. Why? How many do we really need? Why do people buy so many shoes and what do they do with them, you can only wear one pair a day and there are only 365 days in a year…

Just kidding, it was wonderful to come across your blog and will keep coming back here. All the very best and keep doing what you love to do.

    • Thanks for dropping by. The leopard on your page suckered me in – I love cats, wild cats, domestics cats… cats are especially awesome to watch in their natural environment.

The children and I recently watched the Walt Disney Documentary called African Cats which went for just over an hour – they have an awesome education packages for educators that goes with it.

Thank you for dropping by. I’m a bit of a slacker with my blog, though do enjoy the engagement with others when I have the time and VV 🙂

    • You’re so welcome – and thank you for checking out and liking 2 of my Xfile Dishes… lol Hardly anyone has interested in the creature dishes that come from my kitchen… lol

    • You’re very welcome – my pleasure entirely. After reading one of your posts I am very tempted to order the Book version of the road ( See how the movie measures up)

However… the movie was fairly foreboding… I’m not sure I want to risk it.. lol

      Thanks for dropping by 🙂

  60. Heya Miss Lou, thank you for dropping in and following my blog! I have really just started, so I feel completely honoured by each new guest. I have just spent awhile poking around here and it looks great 🙂

    • Hi Stephers – Thanks so much for your latest blog!! I checked out the book you were awarded and I have to say – I love it.. 🙂

I have to tell you, I am very grateful you tried ( the blog, NOT the sex change)… lol

Wonderful sense of humor, not unlike my own (which has been described as a bit weird, so we might hold off on calling you a kindred spirit in case you are not okay with that)

Thank you also for dropping by, I really appreciate it. I like you still get pretty excited whenever I meet someone new and they come over to visit my blog!

      Miss Lou
      xx

  61. Hi Lou! Thank you for following my blog, I guess you like animals too. How did you find my blog – through one of my tags?
I love your sense of humour!

    • Yes.. lol That’s how I search. I I think the tag may have been personal experience (one of my searches when looking for bloggies to read)

If I come across something that on the surface appears to capture my interest I will follow or bookmark and then get back to it (usually on the weekend) to read in more detail, then comment!

looks like you beat me to it.. lol

Thanks for the visit and the lovely compliment.

Also.. Imma fellow aussie – so I might have found you by searching tag Australian?

  62. Hello, Somehow you found the Blog where I write about Photography. I poked around yours a bit and I must say I am surprised. If you were to go further you’d be aware that I only discuss that topic in my writing.
Still, I will find the time to wander thru the myriad of subjects and topics that make up your blog. Nice to be in contact.

    • When I blog hop (go looking for interesting blogs to read) I have this process where I search for a tag, I think the one I searched for that brought up your blog was trip.

I usually use the word journey because I love to read about where people start and how they travel to find it to their current space in time.

Peoples experiences are awesome to me, and if there were enough hours in my day i would spend it asking people about their lives and politely forcing them to tell me about almost everything in their lives (Ridiculously nosey)

What I saw was a capture of what you encountered on your way to work. So, I bookmarked for a closer inspection at a later date, and here you are, having beat me to it.. lol

I understand your primary focus is about photography, though to me, the captures actually represent alot more holistically. Experience, Excitement, Joy, Gloom, Serenity. That first picture on your journey to work – well that, was foreboding – whats to come… Reminded me of long drives to NT National parks during the wet season. We were almost always in for a Bogged tyre or 3… lol Always an adventure!

Regarding my blog, Yes, myriad is a fair call. From snake filled toilets to Refugee and Healthcare policy (not even in my own country) I’m interested and love to talk about that with other people who are too!

Thanks so much for heading over my way 🙂 Much appreciated! I will be over to visit again 🙂

  63. Hi Lou, I’m glad you’re back (or maybe I just missed your latest posts…) and congrats to the new blog attire i.e. your updated photos… I see the black background is here to stay 🙂 mystery lady ;-). Heila

    • Hi Heila *huggles* Nope! I don’t think you have missed anything.. I post about once a month on average – not very consistent at all I’m afraid!

Wonder if they have an award for the slackest blogger?! lol

I actually have a plan (it’s a good plan) to make the comments and side fontish white. I just have to do the plan.

    • Its so lovely to meet you! I came across your blog and the 170 foot wall suckered me right in. I often bookmark and follow to come back and read later – Which I have no doubt I’ll be doing at some stage in the next 24 hours!

  65. Thanks for visiting my blog. I’ve tried to read yours, but I’m afraid my eyes are too old for dark grey on black – I can’t read the comments, only your replies, and it’s a bit confusing! 😦

  66. Hi I AM TRYING TO READ YOUR ARTICLES. I THINK I HAVE THE SAME INTEREST AS YOU. JOURNEY OF LIFE IS VERY TOUGH AND CHOICE OF LIVE IS TOUGH THAN TO CHOCE DEATH. PLEASE READ THE ARTICLES AS THEY ARE NOT SO LENGTHY. THANKS FOR THE FOLLOW

    • Thanks very much for dropping over and saying Hi. I remember coming across your page and being so impressed with the pictures of the ice bergs!

I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to leave a comment prior to now 🙂 I have a habit of surfing blogs and following any that capture my interest, bookmarking them and then returning later for a closer look.

You really have an amazing talent for taking awe inspiring shots 🙂 Have you got any of them up on ‘Red Bubble or similar sites?

      Thanks again..

  67. Miss Lou you seem to have vanished after our initial little chat way back in June, that is if you remember busy lady 😉 … how does one get in touch with you without shouting out for you on a public platform … please do tell

  68. I used to be obsessed with shoes. I had so many. Then I retired and just wear tennis shoes. I think my feet would die if I put on heels again, and that is all I used to wear. Thanks for following my blog. I will follow yours.

  69. Your site is definitely different and appeals somewhat. Great stuff. Will try and fill in the about you slot. Thanks for hitting the “follow” key for my blog, it is really appreciated. MM 🍀

As I get the time I will be sure to spend some time looking through your posts. Out of curiosity, have you had the opportunity at all to work through “a Purpose Driven Life’, and are you familiar with the Care Force Life Keys Program at all?

      Miss Lou
      x

      • You’re very welcome! I look forward to your responses as you read my posts. No, I have not worked through “Purpose Driven” and am not familiar with “Care Force” at all. Please tell me of your experience if you have. Blessings!

  74. SO first of all, thanks for visiting and deciding to follow my little corner of the blogiverse. I am trying to get better at keeping it current, but life keeps getting in the way. I look forward to following you and reading more about your life, loves, and misc 🙂 stuff. Thanks again!

  75. Hi Lou, thanks for stopping by and following my former blog Fitwellmom. This led me to yours which is great! I wanted to let you know I moved to a new home and you are cordially invited to visit. Now if only you were here to join me with a glass of wine…

    • You are so welcome Stella. 🙂 It’s lovely to meet you! My interest was captured as soon as I saw your cat, who I am sure is a blue Russian? or at least part of a blue Russian, maybe crossed tortoise shell?

      Either way, gorgeous 🙂

      Thanks for the visit 🙂

      • No problem Miss Lou. Yeah, we believe that Pippa is at least half Russian Blue, half something else (possible ginger tabby, as her creamy parts have ginger tabby markings, especially on her tummy). But because she’s adopted, we don’t know her ancestory. But do know for certain that she is a lovely little cat 🙂

        Stella

      • lol disregard me asking that question twice! lol.. so sorry., I methodically OCD style go through comments to respond and I didn’t see this one prior to the other!

  78. Hi Miss Lou, lovely to meet you! Thanks so much for visiting me at my ‘summerhouse’ and for the follow, I really appreciate that! I hope you enjoy what you read there. Your blog looks very interesting, I will be back in a few days to take a proper look around (got my babies coming home this weekend so a bit short of time right now!) but I am definitely looking forward to reading more about you! Have a lovely day, see you soon 🙂

  79. Hi! Thanks for the follow. I’ve had my eyes open for you but didn’t know how to find you and suddenly you appeared! 🙂 OM mentioned you in my ‘Concerts in my Kitchen’ post because you apparently also posted ‘Brave’ at some point. Happy to add you to my reader!

    • LOL! I’m not sure what posting ‘Brave’ means? OM can be outrageously big headed and demanding at times, and of course, loves to engage in any kind of conversation with differing opinions. I’ve threatened to call his mother on several ocassions.

My Fast Service post was dedicated to him, as he kept calling me out on week long absences. (Work yanno)

It is lovely to finally meet you, and no doubt we will catch up in the future. 🙂

  80. Oh, you like shoes? You’ll enjoy my latest post, then. I need more shoes like I need a hole in my head. And yet… I keep getting more of them…

PS: however, the post is not about getting new shoes
PPS: Hmmm maybe I should write a post about all the shoes I own..

  81. Hello Miss Lou, thank you for the follow. I have just started on posting yesterday and your follow-up gave me great determination to continue writing. I hope you have enjoyed reading the few posts that I have put up. I will be sure to check yours out. Have a wonderful day. 🙂

    • Your posts are personal and wonderful and you should continue to write and have freedom in that. Whether or not everyone agrees with you, supports you, hates you, the point is for you to have a safe place to express your own thoughts, and engage in dialogue with people of like and not so like mind!

I encourage your blogging journey and look forward to reading more from you in the future!

  87. Hi!
Thanks for following my blog. I guess that means you found something interesting on it. btw I love your sarcasm and your layout (don’t know if they go together.) Would love it if you’d review my first book… 🙂

    • I bookmarked your site and followed immediately because of your blog name.. LOL

‘A Casual Fling with the Keyboard’ appealed to my odd and cheeky sense of humor.

I hadn’t the chance to get back to it yet, though thanks so much for dropping by. I will certainly take a look at your book and see if it interests me.

Just a quick note. if you edit your post and make it so that the link to your book opens in a new window, that will prevent your actual blog from being closed in order to view it

      Touch base soon!

      Miss Lou

    • Thanks Chris. MY OCD’ness had me working on it for quite sometime.. lol I’ve pretty much done some things which have totally messed up the original parameters of it – AND its difficult to read commenters comments, but I’m working on it.. lol

      Thanks for dropping by!

  88. Well, I must say to you, thank you for following our blog here at NAME News. Secondly, I believe we have exchanged ideas at one point in time. Lovely blog you have here. Talk with you soon.

    • Oh goodness… *massive beaming big grins* I’ve had a few of these come through and to be honest have not felt deserving, not really, so have left them sitting with no public acknowledgement- not that I have not been grateful… I’m sure you understand.

In this case, I have shared very personal experiences with you and really enjoyed reading your own posts, ones that I have very much related to.

So thank you. I will work out what I need to do to accept it.

It’s kind of amusing to me really, that this comes on the back of my recent post about Poo! *giggling*…

  92. Louella… Thank you for the follow… it is much appreciated. Also, like many have said before me, sarcasm is good. I follow someone on Facebook with the handle “Sarcasm: Because beating the hell out of people is illegal.” I hope you don’t find that offensive as we are just getting to know each other. Have a great night. Thanks. //PM

    • Hi Patrick, my pleasure! No offense taken. I love the diversity of people generally and usually do not have an expectation of them to act in a certain way, unless interacting with me in debate. ‘Attack the topic’ not the person seems to work well for me personally.. lol

It’s day here – I live in Australia 🙂 almost 1:30pm Though I do plan on having a wonderful day.

      Same to you

      Miss Lou

  93. Thank you very much for coming by my blog, Miss Lou. I’ve been reading a little in yours, and what most impressed me was the ‘what about you’ page. It does seem a good way to get to know people. Though in my case, you could learn most of what matters about me, just reading my blog. I enjoy reading your opinions on most issues, though some of the things that interest you aren’t really part of my world. A pleasure meeting you.

    • Thanks so much Shimonz, for both taking the time to visit and to comment 🙂

One of the things I personally love about blogging and in particular this community of people located within WordPress is that we are all so wonderfully diverse. We all have so many facets and levels to our being that it is almost impossible to gain that from reading a persons words. It is through the engagement within the comments that find I learn the most – both about myself and about other people. I love to find myself challenged and confronted with new ideas and ways of thinking, and I also really enjoy seeing others work through this process.

This can be uncomfortable for me sometimes, but whenever I go outside my comfort zone and grow – I’m generally not comfortable.

It has been wonderful meeting you 🙂 I look forward to reading through your blog and experiencing new ideas 🙂

      Miss Lou

    • Oh I know! I just got back from a Mini Vacation, and took 2 TWO pairs of shoes for 4 days. I only managed to do that because I forgot one of my bags.. lol.. 🙂

I also have big feets! 12.5 – 13 US womens size!

  94. Hello, and pleasure to meet you. Thank you for following my blog (rrichardsson.com), where I hope you won’t find my stories ‘too’ horrifying for your tastes. 🙂

    • LOL, I’m not too sure how I’ll go reading your terrifying tales, though your writing style interests me, and if I can get past the *shuddery* bits, I’m sure I’ve something to learn!

Thanks for dropping by, and for the comment 🙂

      Miss Lou

  95. Hello! Thanks for following my little corner of the internet at mechacatalogue.com despite being the total opposite of your interests (I mean the site is about robots while you like shoes and all, haha!). Cheers!

    • Lol, you’re welcome!!. There’s so much more to me than shoes n stuff!..*snorks*

I actually followed and tabbed your site because I figured you might possibly know something about whether or not there were/are professionally made IRON MAN models. I know he isn’t Robots exactly….But I tabbed and was coming back to it… I just got home from Mini Vacation and so things are a bit all over the place!

      • I see… you could look for Iron Man figures made by Hot Toys, they’re one of the most realistic stuff out there. They’re mostly 1/6 scale, standing at around 12 inches.

      • I’ll be sure to check it out! Thanks for helping! 😀

I’m going to try and resist the urge to start collecting transformers now!

      • I’m going to make sure my son doesn’t see!… lol.. He’s 7, and I’ve just got him to forget about Bumble Bee, by reinforcing a Sponge Bob Square Pants addiction.. lol

  96. Thanks for following my blog, Miss Lou. I enjoyed reading about you.
I have a shoe fettish as well…I promised my husband that I would keep my shoes to forty plastic shoe bins…well, I ran out of space, so some bins have 2 pairs of shoes. Shhh…please don’t tell 🙂
I like bacon and grapes separately, so maybe they do taste good together. Until I try it, I’ll take your word for it!

  97. Hi Lou, thanks for introducing yourself by following our site. So much to explore on yours! (Love your sarcasm…) If you’re on facebook please visit the RAXA Collective page. See you there!

  98. H Miss Lou, thanks for the follow. In the sereis ‘couplings there was a debate as to why women need so many shoes. a guy thought we are secretly millipedes. Hmmm

    • LOL @ being millipedes.. no problem barb, and thanks for taking the time to drop by and say gday. I’m on vacation at the moment, though have you bookmarked to spend some time exploring through your posts when I het home later in the week!

  99. “Time its the most precious gift”

I LOVE YOUR QUOTE! Of course I’ll take my time for read you 😉
xoxo and nice to meet you 🙂

    • Well I’m not sure about everything! One of my US buddies claimed to eat in with peanut butter on a sandwich.
      *screws up my nostrils*

      lol

Thanks for the comment. I love reading about relationships and how to improve them, so following your blog was a no brainer!!

Hope to see you a bit more over time

      Miss Lou

    • Thanks for the comment, and my apologies for the delay in response! Not sure how I missed it!

I enjoy your poetry and short pieces, they speak big wonders!

  100. I used to have a lot of shoes. It kind of runs in our family. One of my nieces used to have about 40 or more pairs of shoes. Not quite Imada, but still. 😀

    • Hoes are shoes, right.. lol

My Wallace and Gromit slippers are my favorite pair, and they were given to me as a gift from the UK 🙂 I think they were about 30pounds

Costs doesn’t matter really. I appreciate comfort above other things, which is one of the reasons I very rarely wear closed in shoes on my feet. Most of the are open toes – with the exception of my slippers and of course, my ASIC runners.

      • I LOVE Wallace and Gromit!

I definitely go for comfort nowadays. I have a problematic back and need the support. Back in the day, though…

      • lol.. *giggling* I broke my pelvis in 5 places when I was 17 in an MVA, so I’ve never really been one for ridiculously outrageous shoe wearing business..

BUT…. *looks at some of the heel height on these open toes sandals I have* I guess I’ve been moderately outrageous.. lol

Also, I have always walked on my tip toes, everywhere I go, since I could walk 🙂 So I guess that helps. I have great legs!

  101. Thanks for following my blog! I like what you have written here. It sounds like you are on a path for truth. I am planning for my on-line event on 7/10, and will let you know how to listen in, if you can. Take care.

  102. Hi Lou, thanks for taking the time to check out my blog and for following. Hopefully you’ll find some of my posts to your liking. Best wishes, Martin.

    • Thanks so much Martin 🙂 I’ve had your blog open for 2 days now.. lol I keep getting called away from my puter, then that darn thing called sleep gets in my way!

I plan to be visiting you with some comments and feedback in the next 24 hours.. hopefully.. lol

      Miss Lou

      • I only started my blog a few months ago, it’s all quite new to me, so any comments/feedback will be much appreciated. Feel free to visit whenever the mood takes you. Best wishes, Martin

  103. I’ve already enjoyed reading just this little bit here. I like your style, attitude, and sense of fashion! ha ha. Thanks for popping by my blog and then leading me back to yours. I’m already looking forward to reading more from you! Take good care! xoJulia

  104. Welcome! Thank you for subscribing to follow my blog. I hope you are encouraged, inspired and enjoy the photos I take of life’s events as seen through the lens of my camera.

      Miss Lou

      • Like all difficult things it is really very simple. The medium is oil, water, minerals, herbs and sound. The shapes are a result of movement, observation and photography. No manipulation other than cropping to size. I am fascinated by joy and what a difference it makes to live joyfully for no reason at all except that it makes me smile on the inside.

      • Thank you for the information regarding how you are creating those amazing pictures. I don’t think I have personally heard of that being done before!

It sounds like you are living by a good principle 🙂
        Choose Joy 😀

        Awesome!

    • Thanks so much for dropping my way and leaving a comment 🙂 I enjoyed having a look around your blog, Kevin. I really hope that gorgeous building that presently houses a bookstore is not demolished!!

  105. Thanks for the follow.
Interesting blog, especially the bacon and grape thing. 😀
    All the best

    • I am going to sound absolutely ridiculous here, but I don’t even know what granola is! I DO know what Feta is, and I have had many salads with that. None that I have made myself, since I am a total creator of X Files when it comes to cooking.. lol

Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving a comment 🙂

      Miss Lou

      • LOL, I love your description of your culinary aptitude 🙂 Granola is mostly oats (and sugar). The kind I like comes in a box, loose like cereal, and has flax seeds and vanilla flavoring in it. But you’re meant to be able to make really good granola, too! I have to try that sometime 🙂

Haha, sorry for talking so much about food! I was just super excited to see a salad combination in the same field of strange as mine!

      • Lol Julie.. *giggling* You can talk as much as you like about anything you like, and especially about food, considering my ‘culinary aptitude’ I really need HELP! *yelps* I’ve been purposefully reading through Food bloggies trying to get half a clue. I;ve got 12 recipes so far I am going to ‘attempt’.

X Files of Lou Lou Season 2 coming up!

    • My pleasure! I’ve already got a great idea for Holiday activities from your blog – FIRST POST.. YAY!… My daughter is Gluten, Dairy & Egg intolerant, but I am quite sure it will work the same with her recipe!

Thanks for your visit and kind comments!

      Miss Lou

  106. Hi Miss Lou, looking forward to having a look around your blog, I love bacon AND grapes but I’m not sure about your salad! (Bacon and grapes, together at last?) I’m not the best cook either, but I’m pretty sure the addition of bacon to most things is most excellent. As long as it’s crispy bacon 🙂

    • Thanks so much for coming through and visiting 🙂 I had a field time getting half a clue about the ‘cosmetic’ world over on your initial bloggy!

I’ve no doubt that will come in handy when reading those Product blogs!

Thanks for your lovely comments 🙂 Miss Lou

  107. Thank you for visiting my site and for following my tales of ‘dickhead-ness’!

Completely behind the bacon but not sure about the green grapes…

    Love your blog otherwise 😉

    • You’re welcome. My sensibilities are adjusting beautifully *snorks*

      Bacon = YUM
      Green Grapes = YUM

Bacon + Green Grape Combination (especially when one is hot and the other really cold) – munchgasmic!

I like it myself, I spend alot of time in here, lol…

Thanks for visiting, and the introduction, great to meet you!

      Miss Lou

    • It’s lovely to meet you Clarabelle! Thanks so much for dropping by! I loved your blog about being grateful for the things we have. Getting into the habit of being thankful is core to living a happier, more productive life in my view!

I look forward to getting to know you and your writings better! Thanks for the comment and introduction, it’s lovely to meet you!

      Miss Lou

  108. Thanks for coming by and the Follow! Shoes huh? Meet the rest of my Family….they are all gaga over shoes! That gene seemed to have passed me by though…I only inherited the handbag gene but skipped the shoe gene!

    • *chuckles*.. I’m quite sure I have enough of the shoe gene for half the population! lol On the other hand, I’ve never been too interested in ‘Handbags’ as they always become black holes to me!

I swear, anytime I put something in them, it never comes out, UNLESS, of course, I do not want it to.

Thanks so much for returning the visit and the wonderful comment 🙂

    • Thank you for dropping by and visiting me in return! I absolutely loved your post on windows! It took me to another place and time. (see my comment) lol

    • Hi, lovely to meet you! Thanks for dropping by.

Aquamarine is my favorite colour and I love mostly open toed, strappy sandals! My top 3 favorite shoes are (in this order and pictured on my feets):

      1) Wallace and Gromit Slippers (seen bottom picture on my feet right here: https://misslouella.wordpress.com/2013/05/06/a-little-bit-toey/)

      2) My Asic Cross Trainers that cost me close to a gazillion $$ : https://misslouella.wordpress.com/2009/05/05/ouchies/ouchies-3/#main

      AND
      3) Gorgeous Cubic Zirconia buckled strappy black sandals, Perfect to wear with a cocktail dress! – https://misslouella.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/imag1984.jpg

      • I wasn’t but I am exceptionally efficient and usually organised… lol.. maybe.. sort of kind of.. when it comes to administration, I’ve got it down pat.

Also, I hope you looked at all those links, I did have to go find them.. 😛 lol

      • I love your blog!! And can learn from it. I am not computer savvy at all. I have friends helping me to get started on a blog.. I’m good at writing blogs, but need pictures and some sense of design. I love how you use black. I also enjoy reading your entries. Thanks

      • Thanks so much 🙂 Feel free to steal any of my design ideas n stuff ( just not my direct work of course) *beaming smiles* I did a fair bit of fiddling over a period of time, and usually do not get to spend as much time as I would like in here, so it has been a long learning process, BUT I’m getting there and I have no doubt you will too!

The widget features are great, so have a bit of a play around with those when you have a moment 🙂

I really love your blog already and I am only into the about post. Your vulnerability is something that is beautiful and honest and I personally really appreciate that. Thank you for sharing that with the world.

It is lovely to meet you, and I look forward to getting to know you more over the coming…..

        Miss Lou

    • Thanks so much for visiting mine in return. Your blog is wonderful and I think I am going to enjoy going through and reading the rest of your posts!

  109. You’re right, time is the most precious gift we can offer, so many, many thanks for deciding you’d like to spend some of yours following my blog. Like you I’m reaching out to share thoughts — it’s great when someone enjoys discovering them

    • You are more than welcome Jackie!! You have some beautiful photography there!

I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future!

      • No regrets at all. My experiences are apart of what made me the person I am, and right now, although I have my struggles, I’m generally happy with that.

I also love that moment when I can provide comfort to someone who has been through similar experiences.

        I love your blog!

    • Thanks so much. I’ve just purchased your book and I am really looking forward to reading it. Finding your blog was like a treasure find!

  110. Hi, Lou. First at all I want to thank you so much for coming and follow my blog 😀
On the other hand , because I like to observe everything, I have seen that in the top of this post there is a photo where you are reading the AIPM journal “Project Manager”. Humm! So perhaps you and I have much in common because I am architect . It will be a pleasure to follow you! 😉

    Regards,
    Rafael

    • You are wonderfully observant!! I first studied Interior Design @ University, though was working at the MGM grand as Keno and TAB Supervisor and became far too busy and bored with Physics classes.. *rollin my eyes*

Project Managing was a concept I had been practicing throughout my career though first head of the actual label in 2008 while working on a contract with the Navy 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving a comment Rafael!

      Miss Lou

    • Thanks so much Eugene! Its wonderful to meet you 🙂 I saw the bird and the word God and decided to follow with the intent to visit at some stage in between comment responses and work 🙂

Hope we get to touch base at some point again!

    • Lol. Thanks for your comment Mr B. (My childrens football coach is called Mr B.) It’s lovely to meet you too! Look forward to having a good read through your posts over the coming days!

  111. LOL! You’re absolutely amazing and hilarious too!! Thanks for visiting my blog, I’m stuck on yours!! I’m addicted to apples and crunchy peanut butter!!

    • *giggling* Thanks so much! You’re lovely! I just added you on twitter and already favorited 2 of your tweets!

I love apples – especially the green ones. I’ll have to give them a try with the peanut butter… Perhaps f I served them for dinner with chicken I could label it another one of my X Files!

      • Yay! I’m right behind you on twitter! You write so beautifully! Keep it up and do you! xx

    • Cheese and Jam. No.
      Really?
      No…
Oh goodness… lol.. That’s almost as interesting as my salty French fries dipped into chocolate hot fudge Sunday!

Oh and you are more than welcome 🙂 Hope to have some great reads over on your blog in the near future!

      Miss Lou
      x

    • Lol.. I have no idea… appreciation eh?

Thanks so much for the warm welcome.. I’ve had a blog around for a while.. but honestly have not actively went about reading and engaging with others so much until now 🙂

    • Absolutely delicious – in my personal experience, however most thing it is a little weird, before they actually try it!

      Thanks for dropping by 🙂

      Miss Lou
      x

    • Thanks so much for the comment 🙂 and I absolutely agree – stuff shared is stuff to be celebrated and very often a few minds can work out life’s more complicated aspects. or at least help us feel a little better about the fact we have them in the first place!

  112. Tell me what kind of shoes you wear and I’ll tell you who you are 😛
No, but really, I love shoes too. 🙂
Also I love beautiful feet. A person may lie about everything but the feet always show the truth. So I guess it’s more likely right to say show me your toes and I’ll tell you Who you are 🙂

    • You’re welcome, I was actually in the middle of writing the long winded response you just got on the bottom of your lead post!

I am not sure if you have ever had the opportunity to read ‘Kelly Needham’s Blog? She is the wife of Christian Singer, Jimmy Needham. Awesome writer, and she is really relatable. She actually discusses the premise of when challenged with non belief or struggling to attend church, that you pray and ask for the desire, rather than forcing yourself to do something dishonestly and out of routine.

      Thanks for dropping by 🙂

  113. LOL! I reckon a gal that likes bacon and green grapes on her salad is my kinda gal! My “go to” salad has Romaine, Spinach, Green Grapes, Craisins, Almond Slivers, Feta Cheese (sometimes a little chicken or bacon) and Raspberry Vinegarette!! Yum! Thanks for the follow! Back at ya!

    • Absolutely delicious sounding!! I have to be honest and admit I have never had a Raspberry Vinegarette!.. BUT I’ve added it onto my list of ‘To do’s’.. lol

I was attracted to your Secondary banner of.. Life is 10% of what Happens to me and 90% How I react to it. I absolutely believe this to be true. I often find myself observing people who have been through similar experiences, sometimes even comparing my own and acknowledge that the way we think about things really does make a difference in how it turns out for us.

Thanks so much for the follow, and the comment.. Greatly appreciated.
      x
      Miss Lou

    • G’day Eric… and ABSOLUTELY it is a great idea!! *giggling*… The recipe for that particular X File of mine falls under the X File Tab.. *snorks*.. There are even reviews there!.. lol

Have you got any weird favorites you like to munch on?

      • I certainly do. Peanut butter and potato chip sandwiches (current fave). Tuna with yellow mustard. Peanut butter and jelly burritos.

      • Peanut Butter and Potato Chips – Yes I think I could do that – WITH tomato sauce me thinks.

Yes to Tuna, No to Mustard *shudders* – But maybe with some tomato sauce….

Burritos? Haven’t had them, but wouldn’t jelly be slipperly and stuff? – How about tomato sauce instead?

      • I sense a tomato sauce theme going on here. I think I might try it some day. I’ve been thinking about spaghetti burritos. That wold definitely include some type of tomato (marinara) sauce.

I have to admit, I shuddered when I first heard about the mustard with tuna, but I LOVE it. I also love how it makes people shudder. 🙂

P.S. yes, the jelly is slippery, but that’s what makes it fun.

  114. Lol, Thanks Mr Opinions, I got the email and YES is shows I was THE top commentor. I was referring to being the FIRST commentor on the blog itself. There is a red line under Commentor. I guess it is another one I can add to the dictionary and claim. *snorks*
